Jakob Stausholm

Chief Financial, Strategy & Transformation Officer


Jakob Stausholm is a member of the registered management as Group CFO and Chief Financial, Strategy & Transformation Officer for the Transport & Logistics division.

Jakob Stausholm joined the Maersk Group in 2012 as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer in Maersk Line. He came to Maersk from global facility services provider ISS A/S, where he was Group CFO from 2008 to 2011. Before that, he spent over 19 years with Shell in numerous finance positions, including in Europe, Latin America and Asia, and as Chief Internal Auditor for the group.

Education highlights

  • Jakob Stausholm holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and has completed executive programmes at Harvard, IMD, Stanford and INSEAD.


In September 2016 it was announced that A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S will be reorganised into two separate divisions; Transport & Logistics – which Maersk Line is part of - and Energy. The change in strategy has brought with it a change in leadership at the top of the company.
