At 91.1%, Maersk Line is still the most reliable

Maersk Line had its best ever all-trades reliability score of 91.4% in the second quarter, up from 89.8% in the previous quarter, as per Drewry Schedule Reliability Insight 3Q12 report, published last week.

For the fifth consecutive quarter, Maersk Line retains its position as the overall most reliable among the top 20 carriers by fleet capacity. Since the beginning of 2008, Maersk Line has been on top of the list for 15 out of 18 quarters.
Overall carrier reliability increased by 3.4 percentage points to 75.7%, however Maersk Line is keeping a wide margin to its competitors with a difference of 13 percentage points vs. top 20 carriers, and 16 percentage points vs. all carriers. Maersk Line is followed on the list by Hanjin (89.6%) and Safmarine (88.8%).

Looking at individual trades, Maersk Line’s best performance is on Asia/Europe/Med, with a 97.8% reliability score (up from 94.2%) and a number 1 ranking. The Atlantic saw a significant increase by 9.9 percentage points to 97% score and a position as number 2. For Pacific, Maersk Line dropped from first to third place with a score of 95.2%, 0.7 percentage points lower than last quarter.
