Let’s talk seafood and sustainability in Brussels

April 29, 2011

It is now time for European Seafood Exposition – the world’s “can’t miss” trade fair for the global seafood industry.

We’ve been working hard to set the agenda for green shipping and seafood sustainability. Now we’re excited about this opportunity to talk to you about your needs and our dedicated, eco-efficient solutions for seafood buyers and sellers.

Sustainable seafood for future generations

As the global leader in containerised seafood transport, we see it as our duty to promote
a sustainable seafood industry by making sure that seafood is available for many generations to come. Seafood companies are dependent on the world's oceans, and so are we at Maersk Line. Our industries have a shared interest in keeping marine environments safe and healthy.

Low-carbon seafood transport

Did you know that transporting salmon from Norway to Korea in a Maersk Line reefer container emits 25 times less CO2 than moving it by air? In fact, maritime shipping is the most eco-efficient way of transporting seafood over long distances – and Maersk Line leads the industry in low-carbon shipping.

In Brussels, we’ll show you our latest solutions for environmentally friendly seafood transport. We will also showcase to you Aqualife, a revolutionary technology that enables live seafood to be transported by container ship instead of air.

Talk to our specialized reefer sales team

Our specialized reefer team from corporate headquarter is joining the exposition along with reefer sales specialists from many other countries to address all your queries. Get insight on issues such as endangered species, overfishing and protective regulations.

Please visit our stand at booth # 4-6215. The trade fair will be open from 3 May till 5 May.
