Maersk Line is pleased to announce we’ll be in Brussels again this year for European Seafood Exposition – the world’s “can’t miss” trade fair for the global seafood industry.
We’ve been working hard to set the agenda for green shipping and seafood sustainability, and we’re excited about this opportunity to talk to you about your needs and our dedicated, eco-efficient solutions for seafood buyers and sellers.
Low-carbon seafood transport
Did you know that transporting salmon from Norway to Korea in a Maersk Line reefer container emits 25 times less CO2 than moving it by air? In fact, maritime shipping the most eco-efficient way of transporting seafood over long distances – and Maersk Line leads the industry in low-carbon shipping.
In Brussels, we’ll show you our latest solutions for environmentally friendly seafood transport, including our StarloaderTM loading system, which eases the transition from break-bulk transport to efficient container transport, and Aqualife, a revolutionary technology that enables live seafood to be transported by container ship instead of air.
Beyond technology
As important as technology is, it takes more than efficient vessels and advanced reefer containers to ensure a truly sustainable seafood industry.
At this year’s European Seafood Exposition, we look forward to telling you about what we’re doing to secure the industry’s future – from making sure the seafood we ship has been legally caught, to working on issues such as endangered species, overfishing and protective regulations.
If you plan to attend this exposition, make sure to visit our stand at Booth # 4-5939. We looking forward to seeing you!
