Providing Maersk Line Key Clients with CO2 footprint transparency
October 26, 2010
With their Customer Scorecard, our Key Clients can now benchmark their monthly CO2 footprint with us against an industry average – a testament of our ambition to provide customers with superior environmental performance.
The Customer Scorecard was developed early in 2010 with the purpose of enabling fact-based discussions on key deliverables with our largest customers. The scorecard now also features a CO2 dial based on actual volume, routes and vessels. This offers our Key Clients the ability to benchmark their monthly Maersk Line emissions against an industry average.
Important discussion “We see a clear interest from many of our Key Clients to better understand how ocean transportation impacts their total environmental supply chain footprint,” says Vice President Michael Blach, who heads the Maersk Line Key Client Programme.
“As many of our Key Clients have developed quite ambitious CO2 reduction targets for their supply chain, the CO2 footprint feature in the newly released Maersk Line Customer Scorecard will help facilitate this important discussion,” he adds.
