Disaster Relief Team formed to assist Haiti earthquake victims

Maersk Line and the entire A.P. Moller - Maersk Group were deeply saddened at the news of the devastating earthquake that struck Port-au-Prince, Haiti on 12 January.

To coordinate whatever assistance we can offer, the group formed a Disaster Relief Team on 14 January. The team has worked with the Danish Red Cross to set up a website where Maersk employees can pledge donations to the relief effort, with the group matching employee donations on a 1:1 basis.

Maersk Line has offered free ocean freight to help ship aid to Haiti, as well as offering to coordinate in-kind donations from our customers through the World Food Programme.
