Update: EU Customs Advanced Manifest Rule– Cargo Data Declaration Fee and Cargo Declaration Amendment Fee

With regard to the EU Customs Advanced Manifest Rule, please be informed of the following:
A. Cargo Data Declaration Fee (CDD)
In order to allow you more time to familiarise yourself with the EU Customs Advanced Manifest Rule, the implementation of the Cargo Declaration Data Fee (CDD) has been postponed from 1 January to 15 January 2011.
B. Cargo Declaration Amendment Fee (CAM)
We have been informed that EU customs are accepting amendments to Advance Manifest information, and that any amended information must be re-submitted to EU customs.
In connection with amendments to Advance Manifest information submitted to EU customs, and in line with the existing amendment to the advance manifest charge, we are extending our CAM - Cargo Declaration Amendment Fee of USD 40 per amended transport document (Bill of Lading), effective from 1 February 2011. This fee will now be applicable every time a transport document is amended.
Application of CAM:
Similar to CDD application, CAM will be applied to amended transport documents that have a final discharge in the EU
Freight remaining on board (FROB) and transhipment cargo will not be subject to CAM
CAM will not be applicable to amended transport documents for Intra-European Union shipments
