Maersk Line would like to announce a general rate increase in the West Central Asia - Europe trade.
The trading conditions for the carriers operating in these markets are still subject to unacceptable rate levels and the situation is not sustainable in the longer term. This adjustment is necessary to continue to operate our services with the high level of reliability our customers have come to expect from Maersk Line.
The details of the filed increase are as follows
Effective date - 17 May 2010
Scope - UAE, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka to North Europe/Mediterranean
Amount - USD 200/400 per 20'/40'
Commodities - All dry cargo including waste commodities
