Container Drop-Off Charge

Dear Valued Customer,

In our continuous effort to serve your better and to be able to plan and optimize our equipment flows, Maersk Line will from March 1st 2012 introduce a container drop-off charge.

The charge will apply to import containers where containers are dropped-off empty in a Scandinavian depot or terminal, different from the one stipulated in the release order.

The charge is applied per container and will correspond to the repositioning cost faced by Maersk Line and the charged amount will therefore vary depending on drop-off location.

We encourage you to share this information with your selected hauliers in order to prevent any misunderstandings.
