Implementation Emergency Risk Surcharge – South Africa

Dear Valued customer,

We wish to inform you that due to the continuous threat of piracy off the East Coast of Africa we find it necessary to apply an Emergency Risk Surcharge (ERS) of USD 90/TEU. The new ERS will be effective 15th February for all cargo destined to South Africa.

We wish elaborate that this surcharge is directly related to the extra costs of sailing our vessels faster and further off the coast in order to provide better safety of crew, vessel and cargo.
