Freetime for Connections
For all import and export cargo through Lazaro Cardenas, Ensenada, Progreso and Tijuana, free time to apply is 3 calendar days. From day 4 and onward, customer has to pay connection costs to the Terminal.
For all import cargo coming from Australia, New Zealand and Chile, free time to apply is 5 calendar days. From day 6 and onward, customer has to pay connection costs to the Terminal.
Freetime for Demurage
Freetime will apply a day after:
1) Container is discharged at Mexican Port from the vessel
2) Container is off railed at Mexican Intermodal Terminal, (for inbond cargo)
3) Container is discharged at the yard terminal in the border

Detention
The time from gate-out a full container from the port until gate-in empty in the port (merchant haulage). In case, customer is using his own plant or a nearby depot to store and Maersk Line has to drop there the containers, detention time applies from gate-in full at the facility until the container is reported as empty and ready to be picked up.

Freetime will apply the same day the container is gated out of the Port Terminal or Intermodal Terminal (Gate out full for delivery).

Waiting Time
Customers (carrier haulage only) will have 6 hours free to strip or stuff containers. Waiting time starts after 6 hours. If imports combined with exports, customer has 12 hours.
7 to 12 hours - USD 25 per hour
12 to 24 hours - USD 200 (flat fee)
24 hours onward - USD 200 per day started
Port Storage
Charged directly by the port to the customers in accordance with agreement between port and customer.
