Introduction

Maersk Line is represented by Maersk El Salvador, S.A. de C.V.

Maersk El Salvador was founded 12 April 1994. The services available to the local market were Puerto Quetzal (for cargo transported in the Pacific Port) and Santo Tomás de Castilla (for cargo transported in the Atlantic port). Maersk El Salvador started services locally providing customers assistance in Sales, Customer Service, Bookings, Export, Import and Operations. In January 2002 as an improvement to our global services, Maersk El Salvador introduced Acajutla operations to service customers, who transport cargo via the Pacific Ocean. This new service improved dispatch cut-offs as opposed to the longer transit time that was formerly experienced when servicing local cargo via Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala.

Maersk El Salvador continues to improve and expand its services and today our customers also benefit from the services provided by Maersk Logistics, BIT El Salvador and Dryport El Salvador.
