E-Commerce Differentials

E-bookings

  1. E-booking confirmations to be turned around within 2 hours. Whereas manual booking confirmations will have a longer turntime from receipt to confirmation of booking.

E-shipping Instructions

  1. For US bound cargo where AMS submission done by Maersk Line Shipping Instructions submitted by e-channel are exempt from USD 25 per entry for Declaration Fee.

  2. For CANADA bound cargo where submission to Canadian customs done by Maersk Line Shipping Instructions submitted by e-channel are exempt from Advance Commercial Information USD 25 per Bill of Lading Advance Commercial Information Fee.

  3. ESI deadlines for TA1, TA2 and TA3 vessels are later than for manual Shipping Instruction. Refer to Services and Cut Offs where this information is updated. 

E-bills of Lading

  1. Shipping Instructions submitted via e-channel will be processed and a draft copy ready to check within 5 working hours. Manual SI are only processed within 8 working hours.

  2. Original bills will be issued to the web for printing within 4 working hours of vessel sailing provided approval advised by customer or within 4 working hours of receipt of approval whichever comes first. Manual Bills of Lading will be posted out - making leadtime from vessel sailing to receipt of bills at least 24 hours.

  3. Customers who migrate to E-bills of Lading who currently pay tariff Export Documentation Fee of GBP 30 can have this Documentation Fee reduced to GBP 25 per set.

  4. Customers who migrate to E-bills of Lading AND E-shipping Instructions who currently pay tariff Export Documentation Fee of GBP 30 can have this Documentation Fee reduced to GBP 20 per set.
