Country specific information

Central and South America

1. Brazil

  • It is a mandatory requirement to show the CNPJ number along with the consignee address on the bill of lading. Please ensure that this is provided on the shipping instructions.
  • It is not allowed to use a correction stamp on the bills of lading.
  • NCM code in shipping description

2. Panama

  • It is not allowed to make an “attachment sheet” for shipping marks.
  • It is not allowed to use a correction stamp on the bills of lading.

3. Countries where attachment of Description & mark, Seaway bills of lading are not allowed and Countries must show freight details as Attachment 1.

4. Countries where Freight Collect shipments are not acceptable and countries where Freight Collect shipment require prior approval from the local office at destination as Attachment 2.

5. Countries where it is not allowed to use the package type “Pallets”as Attachment 3.

Asia and Middle East

1. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Bangladesh

  • It is a mandatory requirement to provide the full address of the consignee.

2. Indonesia

  • It is required to show the actual consignee name on the bill of lading. It is not acceptable to provide the inward forwarder agent’s name instead.

3. Cambodia 

  • Please scan or fax a copy of the House bills of lading, if any to tpecusexpaaa@maersk.com or fax number (02) for Customs declaration at destination.

4. Japan and Korean

  • Not allowed to use the package type "pallet"
  • It is neccessary to show the smallest external package type

5. Indian

  • After the import manifest has been filed with Indian customs, we will not be in a position to entertain requests for:
    • Change in consignee name, details, etc.
    • Any amendments to the Bill of lading.

 

Europe and Africa

1. Netherlands

  • The following symbols are not acceptable - : \ / “

2. Egypt

  • Seaway bills of lading are not acceptable.

3. Countries where Freight Collect shipments are not acceptable as Attachment 2.

4. Bulgaria, Cyprus, Syria and Turkey

  • Not allowed to use the package type "pallet" as Attachment 3.

5. Angola, Ghana, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Israel. Follow below link for details on mandatory information required. as Attachment 4.
