Charges per calendar day after free-time
Detention Charges are between the cutoms authorities and the consignee. Maersk Line is not involved. Local storage fees at the port has been reduced from 15 days freetime to 9 days (i.e. from discharge date until gate out full of container). We have no control of detention days because these charges are paid directly by the consignee to the Port Authority. Additionally, they are not part of the demurrage freetime agreements.
