Maersk Line is committed to the prevention of breaches of safety and security not only for our vessels and crews but also for the protection of the environment and safe transport of your cargo. The concept of "Constant Care" is fundamental to our business philosophy and a guiding principle in managing our operations.
The IMDG Code is the official legal document of the maritime transport of dangerous goods and marine pollutants, which sets out the rules and requirements. As a global carrier, it is our principle to live up to these worldwide regulations and requirements.
To satisfy this principle, we need you to ensure the data quality of the required documentation.
Below you will find the necessary documents to meet this quality.
IMDG code amendment no. 35-10 Please be advised that currently both amendment 34-08 or amendment 35-10 may be used.
Whichever version is to be used, it must be used in whole for that shipment, they cannot both be used in part for the same consignment.
Effective 01 January 2011 Amendment 35-10 may be used on a voluntary basis, this however, will become mandatory effective 01 January 2012
Maersk Line will implement this amendment late in 2011, to ensure compliance of the regulations when they come into effect 01 January, this of course will be circulated accordingly
We would appreciate it if you could add a note on your declaration to this effect if you are using amendment 35-10 prior to our announcement.
