Maersk Line 'Best Global Shipping Line', 'Best Shipping Line for Asia-Europe', and ‘Best Green Service Provider – Shipping Line’ 2009.
At the 23rd Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCAs), Maersk Line maintained its perfect record taking home THREE award trophies namely 'Best Global Shipping Line', 'Best Shipping Line for Asia-Europe', and ‘Best Green Service Provider – Shipping Line’.

It is the 22nd consecutive year that Maersk Line is recognised as the ‘Best Shipping Line - Asia-Europe,’ the 16th year as the ‘Best Global Shipping Line’ and the 1st year for the ‘Best Green Service Provider.’

Maersk Line awarded Container Shipping Line of the Year  2007
Maersk Line was awarded "Container Shipping Line of the Year" at the prestigious Lloyd's List Asia Awards 2007 event. "We appreciate the massive support from our customers and their confidence in our services. We are committed to strive even higher, meeting the needs of our customers and their businesses, and develop high quality and reliable transport solutions," said Thomas Orting Jorgensen, Global Head of Sales and Marketing in Maersk Line.

Maersk Line wins Shipping Line of the Year 2007
Maersk Line was awarded shipping line of the year 2007 by International Freighting Weekly (IFW) magazine. The winner was judged by a panel selected from IFW subscribers - a group of around 200 freight-forwarding and shipping executives. Maersk Line was chosen from the five finalists in this crucial category. This award demonstrates industry recognition of Maersk Line and its continuing improvements in customer service. At Maersk Line we constantly strive to provide a consistently high quality service and despite the challenges of last year, this award confirms that we are back on the right track in the eyes of the industry." The awards were held in the city of London on 18 June.

Maersk Line wins "Best Global Shipping Line" 2007
Maersk Line was named "Best Global Shipping Line" at the 21st Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCAs) ceremony held in Macau, 26 April 2007. In addition, Maersk Line was awarded "Best Shipping Line Asia-Europe" and "Best Shipping Line Transpacific". Held once a year, the AFSCAs are widely recognised by the Asian logistics and shipping industry. Presented by the publication Cargonews Asia, the winners are selected by readers, who vote for their favourite companies in the different categories. "We appreciate the support of our customers and the confidence shown in our services as demonstrated by the vote for Maersk Line," says Tim Smith, Chief Commercial Officer, Maersk China Ltd. EMMA MÆRSK wins "Ship Of The Year" 2007
Maersk Line’s flagship EMMA MÆRSK won the title of "Ship of the Year" at Lloyd's List awards in London March 2007. The prestigious award were voted for across the industry and confirm that EMMA MÆRSK has set new standards in innovation, environment and safety for Maersk Line. Accepting this award on behalf of the company, Flemming Dalgaard, UK Managing Director of Maersk Line, commented: "It's a great honour to receive this award from Lloyd's List. Maersk Line awarded "Main Line Operator" of the year 2006
On 2 November 2006 Maersk Line was awarded "Main Line Operator" for 2006 at the Lloyd's List Maritime Asia (LLMA) Awards 2006 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The LLMA Awards are one of the most renowned maritime awards in Asia. Maersk Line has won the "Main Line Operator" award for eight years in a row.

Maersk Line was named "Best Global Shipping Line" at the 20th Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCAs) 2006. In addition, Maersk Line was awarded "Best Shipping Line: Asia – Europe".

Maersk Line named Best Global Carrier on the 50th anniversary of containerisation 2006
Maersk Line is celebrating its confirmation as the world’s leading liner shipping company after it was named “Best Global Carrier 2006”.The award was presented at the first Containerisation International awards ceremony, held in New York to mark the 50th anniversary of containerisation. Mr J. Russell Bruner, President and CEO of Maersk Inc., who represented Maersk Line at the ceremony, says: “This award reflects the hard efforts and cooperation of all our colleagues across the world. I would also like to congratulate our colleagues in the industry on their award winnings.” At the same ceremony Maersk Logistics was awarded “Best Supply Chain Software Provider 2006” for their Spective solution and APM Terminals was awarded “Best Global Container Terminal Operator 2006”.

The readers of Marine Digest, a US-based monthly magazine which focuses on the Pacific Rim, have in their “Fourth Annual Transportation Customer Service Readers' Poll” named Maersk Line as the best in the following categories: Best schedule integrity, Best point to point service, Best pricing request response time, and Most convenient to do business online with.

On 29 September 2005 Maersk Sealand was awarded "Main Line Operator" for 2005 at the Lloyd's List Maritime Asia (LLMA) Awards 2005.

Shippers across Asia have named Maersk Sealand the "Best Global Shipping Line". The award was presented at the Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) ceremony. In addition, Maersk Sealand won trade awards for "Best Shipping Line" in the Asia-Europe and Transpacific trades.

The world's largest retailer, Wal-Mart presented its 2003 "Ocean Carrier of the Year" and "Origin Cargo Manager of the Year" awards to Maersk Sealand and Maersk Logistics respectively.
